Red Tent Events - A Pause to Gather
Taking time to gather for deep rest, renewal & reclaiming the color red.
Dyeing the Red Tent events are one day workshops and weekend retreats that create space for women to focus on building a self care practice, using art and story to connect to self and nature.
This is where we take a deliberate pause, for the deep nourishment of body mind and soul in a beautiful quiet place. This is what Self-Care & healing as a team sport can look like. In community with other women, natural dyes and plant allies.
This Red Tent time together is centered upon the long slow process of dyeing a red cloth using Queen Madder, an ancient plant dye who offers us many lessons. It is an immersion in nurture culture; opening up time tending to self in the company of other women.
While the cloths absorbs the magic of healing herbs and turn deep red from Queen Madder herself, we hold space for quiet contemplation, creating intentions, talking, movement, journaling, sauna, and spending time in the beauty of the Oregon Coast.
These times we live in challenge us in millions of ways. We are often more busy than we wish, we may feel as though we lack what we need to truly thrive. Making time to retreat for clarity, and doing so in the company of those who are also committed to living with intention can open up very powerful shifts towards a new way of being.
The goodness of time and space for contemplation, in an intimate and cozy home with a sauna, is pretty much the best way I can think of to reset during the liminal space between seasons.
For those who are interested pelvic steaming sessions led by practitioner Kestrel Gates are knit into the schedule During the weekend retreats.
Workshops & Retreats are open to women in all phases of life.
