Retreat Dates: August 3-7, 2024-Registration open

Join us for our 7th annual Indigofest retreat at the historic Sou’wester Lodge and Resort in Seaview, Washington. This retreat spans the indigo universe from fresh plants to pigment to vat. All supplies are included and each workshop features a variety of local and natural fibers including wool, silk, cotton, linen, and more. Classes will ebb and flow between community demonstration and lecture in addition to hands-on intimate workshop time.

Workshop Highlights:

• Community Vat made with local pigment, Salal berry, and oyster shell lime.

• Resist techniques and botanical pattern play with paste & shape resist -with our custom wood and 3D printed shapes.

• Indigo beyond the vat: art supplies, printing, paper, and more.

• Fresh indigo plant processing techniques.

• Fresh plant pigment extraction and indirubin exploration.

• 2nd annual True Blue Kids Camp - concurrent event on campus for those attending IndigoFest with children.

• Interactive indigo art installation by yours truly
